Growing Minds

I am a Licensed Psychologist dedicated to improving the health and well being of all of my clients.

 

I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology degrees at the California School of Professional Psychology, at Alliant International University. During my graduate studies I gained considerable experience working with a wide range of clientele.

 

My training included working with young children in a clinic setting, middle school students in a campus setting, adults of all ages with multiple mental health diagnoses, as well as adolescents and adults in the outpatient program of a psychiatric hospital. I completed my doctorial project entitled The Psychological Effects of Weight Loss Surgery, and have lectured across the country about weight loss and the effects of weight loss surgery on the patient and their families.

 

After receiving my doctoral degree in 2010, I continued to work in the psychiatric hospital. After receiving my license in 2012, I spent time working with high school students in a campus setting, providing therapy for them and their families.

 

I have been in private practice as part of the Growing Minds team since 2014 where I enjoy working with adults and adolescents mostly struggling with depression and anxiety. Though my background is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I prefer to take an eclectic approach and tailor my treatment to my client’s needs. At Growing Minds, I see clients in our Simi Valley office.
