Growing Minds

I am a Licensed Psychologist, Clinical Director and owner of Growing Minds Psychological Corporation.

 

My passion for helping others began during my undergraduate studies at UCLA, while working with Dr. Ivar Lovaas through his autism clinic, and teaching children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder the skills they need to be successful in their world.

 

I earned my Doctor of Psychology degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles at Alliant International University, in 2008. During my graduate studies I continued work with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition, I received specialized training and worked with children presenting with ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, as well as abuse and other traumas.

 

I also trained with Dr. Liz Laugeson, at UCLA, in her PEERS Program, which is an evidence-based social skills program for adolescents and young adults with Asperger’s or High-Functioning Autism.

 

I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at the UCLA Child and Neurodevelopmental (CAN) Clinic, where I obtained extensive training in evaluating and diagnosing individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities.

 

I have been in private practice since 2011, where I have continued my work with children and families, and adults. I work using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a structured therapy format, where my objective is to understand the goals and aspirations of all of my clients, and help them see their strengths, accept and overcome their weaknesses, and live their lives to their full potential.

In 2014, I opened Growing Minds, where I continue to provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in our Granada Hills office. In addition, I now have the privilege of working and collaborating with incredible clinicians, who all share the passion of helping individuals regain strength and hope to succeed in their personal lives.

 

Growing Minds has offices in Granada Hills, Simi Valley, and Camarillo. We are a team of licensed psychologists and psychological assistants, licensed marriage and family therapists, and licensed clinical social workers. Within our great team are dedicated and passionate clinicians who work with children, adolescents, parents, families, individual adults and couples, as well as older adults. We also offer psycho-diagnostic evaluations in some of our locations.

 

We have therapists who speak Spanish, Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew and Russian.
